ABOUT JODI FLAKE
Since 1995, Good Word Production’s mantra has been to strengthen and develop the family and community through the performing arts. Under Flake's direction, GWP has produced hundreds of successful concerts, dance recitals, musicals, and outdoor historical dramas, working with and drawing upon college and high school students and community members. Jodi Flake is the founder of GWP, a sole-proprietor, and managed the Song and Dance Academy for several years (2000-2005) before teaching school full-time. (2006-2018) Flake has attended conferences held by the Institute of Outdoor Theater, and has produced outdoor historical musicals in Arizona. For the last 12 years, Flake has been a full-time music and theater teacher at High Schools and JH schools in northeastern Arizona. Flake has a Master’s degree in Music Education from Arizona State University. Flake organizes positive performance opportunities for family and community members to grow and increase their confidence and ability in the Performing Arts.

Good Word Productions, directed by Jodi Flake has been managing its Performing Arts Programs since 1995. In 2001, GWP obtained an EIN number and Flake founded and ran the Song and Dance Academy. Flake had a dozen employees and operated a very successful studio, with over 200 performers enrolled, while producing many recitals, concerts, musicals and Outdoor Historic Dramas.
Valaree Jo (Jodi) Flake, president of GWP, has dreamed of building an Arizona Outdoor Theater for many years., where performing opportunities for families and communities will continue. In school districts in Arizona, Flake has been teaching Music and Drama classes and 5th & 6th grade, full-time, since 2006. During this time, Flake has produced several musicals, original CD’s, written a novel and obtained her Master’s Degree. from Arizona State Univeristy.
Flake has worked with many choreographers, costume design managers, stage managers, directors and stage gurus. Flake understands the business of Outdoor Historic Drama better than anyone in Arizona, and was awarded the Arizona Centennial signet from the State when she produced, “Sounds of Statehood”. Flake plays several instruments, is a playwright, composer and author. She will continue to create positive performance opportunities for those wishing to develop their abilities in the performing arts.
